Family & Dependents

Bring your family to the UAE, properly.

Family residency depends on the sponsor's status and current rules. We map who can be included, the documentation involved, and the right order — so applications move smoothly.

01 The approach

Calm, careful, and in the right order.

Family applications fail most often on documentation and sequencing, not eligibility. We confirm who qualifies under your residency, prepare the paperwork carefully, and sequence applications to avoid delays.

02 Who can be included

Family members we advise on.

Eligibility depends on the sponsor's status and current UAE rules; we confirm this as part of your plan.

01

Spouse

Sponsoring a spouse under your UAE residency, with the right documentation.

02

Children

Including children as dependents, with attestation and documentation support.

03

Parents

Where eligible, guidance on sponsoring parents and the conditions involved.

04

Renewals

Keeping dependents' residency and Emirates ID current over time.

03 Before you sponsor

What sponsorship actually depends on.

Four things shape whether — and how — you can sponsor family. We confirm each before any application begins.

01

You must be a resident first

Sponsorship rests on your own valid residency. We confirm your status is solid before building the family plan.

02

Income & accommodation

Sponsorship is conditioned on factors like income and suitable accommodation. Thresholds vary and should be confirmed against current rules.

03

It's tied to your status

Dependents' visas follow yours. A job change or cancellation can affect them — we plan for that, not around it.

04

Medical & insurance

Medical fitness applies above a certain age, and insurance is expected — notably for sponsored parents.

04 How it sequences

The order that keeps it smooth.

Family applications most often slow down on sequencing. This is the order we follow — increasingly handled as a single digital submission.

  1. 01

    Confirm the sponsor

    Sponsor first

Your residency and Emirates ID are in order, and the conditions for each dependent are met.

  2. 02

    Entry permit

    Entry

An entry permit is issued for each dependent — or in-country status adjustment begins where applicable.

  3. 03

    Medical & biometrics

    ICP

Medical fitness (above the applicable age) and Emirates ID biometrics are completed.

  4. 04

    Stamping & Emirates ID

    Complete

Residence is finalised and Emirates ID issued — increasingly as one digital bundle.

05 Documentation

The paperwork, prepared properly.

Family applications most often slow down on documents and attestation. These are the categories we prepare and check for consistency — exact requirements vary.

01

Relationship proof

  • Attested marriage certificate (for a spouse)
  • Attested birth certificates (for children)
  • Legally translated documents where required
02

Sponsor & accommodation

  • Sponsor's residency and Emirates ID
  • Salary certificate / proof of income
  • Registered tenancy (Ejari) or accommodation proof
03

Health & identity

  • Medical fitness results (above the applicable age)
  • Medical insurance (notably for parents)
  • Passports and photographs for each dependent

Document categories are general; exact requirements, attestation, and conditions vary by case and current ICP/GDRFA rules.

Ongoing

Renewals & change of status

Dependents renew in line with your residency, so the two are best planned together. If your situation changes — a new employer, a new company, a move — your dependents' visas may need to be re-issued, transferred, or cancelled. We keep the family's status synchronised with yours and flag changes before they become problems.

  • 01Dependents renew alongside the sponsor
  • 02Job or company changes can affect dependents
  • 03Grace periods exist but are best not relied upon

If your question isn't here, a consultation is the most direct way to get a precise answer for your situation.
